Three people were taken into custody following a firearm-related confrontation in downtown Chico on Wednesday. Officers responded to reports of a firearm being brandished during a confrontation on the 1800 block of E. 18th Street. They said the suspect, identified as Michael Sadler, Jr., fled the scene in a vehicle. Police tracked Sadler to a home on the 2700 block of Native Oak Drive. They said Sadler initially hid inside a home but voluntarily exited after being contacted by phone. Police said two additional arrests were made.
