The pedestrian involved in a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision on Saturday, March 1 has died as a result of injuries they sustained during the collision. Chico Police Department (CPD) said the name of the subject involved is pending per notification of the next of kin. Chico Police officers, Chico Fire, and Butte EMS responded to the report and located the pedestrian down in the roadway upon arrival, on Saturday, March 1 around 11:26 p.m. on the 200 block of East Ave. Police said alcohol and drugs did not appear to be a factor in the collision
