Gridley Police arrested a man on Monday that they say embezzled more than $25,000 from a local group. According to the Gridley Police Department, 67-year-old Kenneth McIntyre was the treasurer of the Knights of Columbus Saint Mary's Council. Authorities say that McIntyre allegedly wrote unauthorized checks to himself over a 22-month period, from March 2023 to January 2025. The total amount that had been embezzled exceeded $25,000. McIntyre faces felony embezzlement and other fraud-related charges.
