The Butte County Health Department has issued a warning to parents over continued outbreaks of the Norovirus at the Shady Creek Camp in Nevada City. Local 5th and 6th graders attend the multi-day camp from schools all over the area. Recently kids have returned home with severe cases of the norovirus. The health department says lab testing shows 36 local children tested positive for the norovirus with symptoms including vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain. Three separate outbreaks at the camp have affected local elementary schools from Butte County. Shady Creek says they regularly cleaning but it's not known if they are bringing in professional cleaning companies.
