Dozens of people are facing charges after more anti-immigration enforcement protests in downtown Los Angeles. Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell said nearly 60 people were taken into custody either by the LAPD or the CHP over the weekend. Protesters shut down both sides of the 101 Freeway Sunday and refused to disperse. One person arrested Sunday allegedly threw a Molotov cocktail at an officer. Civil unrest continued into the early morning hours today, with crowds gathering very late Sunday night near L.A. Live and Crypto-dot-com Arena. Several fires were burning in the streets in other parts of downtown, but police and firefighters were letting them burn.
