Rite Aid Closing North State Stores
Drugstore chain Rite Aid is filing for bankruptcy for the second time in three years. As a result, some of the stores in our region will be closing for good later this year. it's part of a bigger plan for Rite Aid to shutter hundreds of locations across the country. 3 locations in Redding, 2 in Chico and 1 in Anderson, Palo Cedro and Paradise, respectively, will all close their doors. All in all, more than 700 Rite Aid locations, or more than two-thirds of all stores, will be closing later this year. No official date has been set for when the locations will close their doors for good.
