25-year-old woman was arrested for selling fireworks illegally in the Chico area. Naudia Velasquez was taken into custody after a warrant search on her property revealed approximately 60 pounds of "illegal fireworks as well as other illegal items," according to CAL FIRE. CAL FIRE investigators said "evidence was found that indicated she had previously possessed and already sold a much larger number of fireworks." She was arrested on a misdemeanor health and safety code violation. CAL FIRE said that arrest was considered a violation of her previous probation terms, so she is now being held in the Butte County Jail without bail.
