Butte County is advancing a plan to address sediment build-up at the Five Mile Recreation Area in Chico's Lower Bidwell Park. The work is expected to start within weeks. Public Works Director Joshua Pack presented three plans to the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday. The board opted for a short-term solution that aims to mitigate the issue before this year's winter storms.
