The Butte County District Attorney's Office dismissed a pending murder case against a Palermo woman for the Christmas Day shooting of her husband after she finally told her story to investigators. Julie Castaneda, 34, had been charged with a single count of murder with the use of a firearm and held in the Butte County Jail following her Christmas Day arrest. The investigation showed a pattern of domestic abuse including the night of the incident .
