A head-on crash between a pickup truck and a Tehama County transit bus on Highway 99W south of Gyle Road killed six people and left one person critically injured Wednesday morning, according to preliminary information from the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Officials said the crash happened around 10 a.m. after the driver of a gray Toyota Tacoma, traveling at unknown speeds southbound on Hwy 99W, crossed double-yellow lines into oncoming traffic and head-on into a Tehama County transit bus. Authorities say the crash is still under investigation
