BCPH Flu Cases Increase
Butte County's flu season is intensifying with flu rates reaching 14.5% in early February. This marks the highest level in the past three years, according to Butte County Public Health. Butte County Public Health Officer Jarett Beaudoin. says Hospitalizations have surged to more than 2.5%, more than double the typical rate for a flu season. He explained that a challenging flu variant, H3, is contributing to the rise in cases. Now 3 people have died from flu-related complications this season in Butte County, with another possible flu death under investigation..
