California ranks 14th nationwide for K-12 education. The state did well on ACT scores and graduation rates but had larger class sizes and lower SAT scores. According to a Go Au Pair study, only about eight percent of students reported regular bullying, the lowest rate in the U.S. Massachusetts tops the list for K-12 education, followed by Virginia, North Dakota, Connecticut, and Iowa. New Mexico ranks last, just below Oklahoma, Arizona, Nevada, and Alaska.
