Chico's new 30 million dollar aquatic center is slated to open later this year Two of three pools have been delivered and work is underway. Chico Area Recreation and District General Manager Scott Schumann says that included water park will include a 50 meter competition pool and a 25 yard leisure pool Shumann says two of the pools will be heated so they can be used during the winter months for recreation and rehabilitation purposes. The center is expected to open this September
