A Butte County Jail inmate was transferred to state prison Monday to begin serving an 18-year sentence for attacking a correctional deputy last year, authorities said. Guy Dalrymple was sentenced for the August 13, 2025, assault that occurred while he was in custody at the Butte County Jail. Authorities said Dalrymple struck the deputy multiple times . During the struggle, the deputy suffered a dislocated shoulder and a fractured arm.
