Several tigers once kept at the former Barry R. Kirshner Wildlife Foundation in Oroville have been relocated to accredited animal sanctuaries and the Oakland Zoo The animals had previously been housed at the Barry R. Kirshner Wildlife Foundation, which closed after state enforcement actions over alleged animal welfare violations. The Kirshner Foundation is still embroiled in a lawsuit brought by PETA over the conditions and treatment of teh animals at the facillity in Oroville.
