Escorts will be available between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday. depending on the amount of calls received, other options may be available on Monday. During an escort, people will have 15 to 20 minutes to provide basic needs to their animals or load them up for evacuation.

Fire Survivor Resource Line NEW
The Butte County Department of Employment and Social Services is activating a Fire Survivor Resource Line to support residents impacted by the recent fires. The Resource Line is designed to provide recovery information and resources for those whose homes have been damaged or destroyed.
The dedicated Resource Line number, 530-552-6262, will be operational and available beginning July 6, 2024, from 8am-5pm to offer guidance and support. By calling the hotline, residents can receive information on a variety of critical topics, including:
- Housing Assistance: Resources for finding temporary and long-term housing solutions.
- Financial Aid: Information on available financial support and how to apply.
- Basic Necessities: Access to food, clothing, and other essential items.
- Emotional Support: Contact details for counseling and mental health services.
- Rebuilding and Recovery: Guidance on the steps to take for obtaining important documents, rebuilding homes, and navigating insurance claims.

The Salvation army are looking for volunteers ages 18+ who are able to help prepare and serve meals at this shelter. We have a kitchen lead, we just need helpers.
